It was an honor to present WHEN I STUTTER at the 2020 SMBC/NSA Mock interview event on January 21st. The main event was the mock interviews themselves which were conducted between actual SMBC employees and people who stutter from the New York City area. Kunal Mahajan followed the interviews with a wonderful explanation of the difficult and emotional journey that people who stutter can have when seeking employment. His talk was punctuated by a candid panel discussion with other employees at SMBC to discuss their thoughts on stuttering. The evening was capped with a screening of WHEN I STUTTER as well as a short Q and A by director John Gomez. Events such as these are vital to building bridges of understanding between potential employers and people who stutter.
